Back by popular demand for the third year in a row.
With the vintage hall decked out with greenery and candlelight, these musicians (Jude Pelley, Charlie Wilson and friends) explore the mystical and historical aspects of the Christmas season. Taking the listener on a musical journey back in time, they present a programme of sacred songs and melodies from the middle ages through the eighteenth century. Liberally seasoned with lively instrumental dance tunes, the programme moves from Latin through middle English and French, to the vernacular English of the broadside ballads and wassailing carols. Seasonal refreshments available. A wonderful antidote to shopping malls and Santa suits!
Admission by free will donation. Suggested price $20.00 Doors open at 7 p.m.
