The Broad Cove Community Association newsletter, Summer 2026.

In this issue: Summer at the hall: the Summer Maker’s Market on July 11–12, an all-ages music party and BBQ on July 25 with The Brood, Cousins and The Bear Minimums, free drama and theatre camps for kids in July and August, and the Broad Cove Fun Run on September 12. Plus the T-shirt design winner and an update on the renovation work.

Summer Maker’s Market

July 11th & 12th, 2026, 10am–4pm.

Come and explore the creations of fifteen talented artists, artisans, and craftspeople. Discover unique handmade items, original artwork, and one-of-a-kind gifts while supporting local makers.

All Ages Summer Music Party and BBQ

July 25, 2026. Featuring live music by The Brood, with special guests Cousins and The Bear Minimums, and DJs Moe Munny & Joe Bender.

Doors, BBQ and DJs 5:30 pm; live music 6:30 pm. Adults $25, students $10, five and under free. Cash bar for those over 19.

“Totally Drama”

Monday, July 13, 2–4 PM. Ages 6–12.

Join us in a world of imagination where every participant is a star! Build creativity, confidence and friendship through storytelling and performance. Admission is free; however, donations towards PRO-KIDS are welcomed.

T-shirt design competition

Congratulations to Petite Riviere Elementary grade 2 student Leona Ellis for winning our recent T-shirt design competition! A huge thank you to every student who submitted an entry. We loved them all!

Siding project

Work on the final wall of the Broad Cove Hall siding project is almost done! The old shingles have been removed, wall repairs done, and new “Cape Cod” siding is being added.

A big thank you to volunteers Danny, Gary, and Ken, along with lead carpenter Kevin, for their hard work. This project was funded through a MODL grant and community fundraising. Thank you for your support.
