Broad Cove Community Association AGM news

The Broad Cove Community Association held its Annual General Meeting (AGM) on January 24, 2026.

Beach Stewardship Agreement. A major milestone was celebrated with the signing of a Stewardship Agreement between the Municipality of the District of Lunenburg (MODL) and the Broad Cove Community Association for the protection and management of the lands adjacent to the Beach. For more than 20 years, dedicated efforts were made by community members to secure meaningful legal protection for this beloved coastal asset, making this achievement especially significant for Broad Cove.

2026 Board Members. The following were re-elected for 2026: Shelley Scott, Chair; Ken Thomas, Vice Chair; Gary Herman, Treasurer; plus Directors Joe Bender, Elizabeth Conrad, Emily D’Entremont, Danny Eddy, Claire Eddy, Moira Frier, Mylene Lehoux, Lisa Napier, Susan Wellmann and Stephanie Yee.

Hall Bookings. Please contact info@broadcovehall.ca to arrange hall bookings. Special thanks to Elizabeth Conrad, who for the past 20 years has so diligently managed our hall bookings. Her dedication and commitment have meant a great deal to our community. We also thank Michael Baldock for stepping into this role and continuing this important service.
