Shifting Sands
A Introduction to Coastal Dynamics and Adaptations
Kirsten Ellis MSc
Saturday, June 1, 10-11:30 am
Broad Cove Hall
Coastal protection is a hot topic these days in Nova Scotia. With over 13000 kilometers of coastline, it is no wonder that residents are concerned with the effects of climate change and increased development on our shores and beaches.
If you would like the opportunity to learn more about protecting our coastal ecosystems, please join us at the Broad Cove Hall on Saturday, June 1 at 10 am. Our guest speaker, Kirsten Ellis, will give us a one hour introduction to coastal dynamics and adaptation strategies, followed by a Question and Answer period. Kirsten is a coastal adaptation specialist who works at CB Wetlands and Environmental Specialists. She lives in Lunenburg County.
Admission is free but donations are warmly welcomed.
Coffee will be served.

“The guys from Caledonia are back for their first public shows in over a decade. This isn’t a relaunch for careers’ sake. It’s a group of old friends getting together to play music that meant something to a lot of people.
Active for about 10 years, Caledonia toured the country several times and released three records. Their last record, ‘We are America’ had some solid buzz, a little CBC love and received nominations for multiple ECMAs & NS Music Awards.
Since then members of the band have developed their own individual careers and lives. They are coming together for a revival of fun from that beautiful era of music. Please join them for two sets of sing-along fan favourites.”
